The trails are mostly easy to moderate terrain and vary in lengths. For a shorter ride you can enjoy Jack Ridge Loop, Duncan Hollow By-Pass, and Leatherwood Overlook. If you like to ride larger trails you would enjoy North White Oak Trail which is a 20 mile loop taht includes a wide variety or terrain from spur trails to overlooks. However, If you take some of the inner trails this can be broken up into approximately 10 - 12 mile loops.

One of the most popular is the Charit Creek Lodge trail. This scenic trail changes elevation approximately 500 feet and you will pass through multiple creek crossings ( approx. 12 ). The entire loop including river access would also be close to 20 miles. At Charit Creek Lodge, cabins can be rented for overnight stays for horseback riders and hikers. Reservations can be made for lunch also with adequate notice. ( 1-865-429-5704 ) This is a must ride!

The O.&W. Railroad bed is another favorite.  Here you can ride to the O.& W. Railroad trestle and  along the North White Oak Creek on the old railroad bed for a few miles. Then return to the top of the plateau to view the beautiful Laurel Fork Overlook. This is a great ride!  This wonderful park is also home to lots of wildlife such as deer, fox, turkey and a few black bear.  In addition to the nearly 200 miles of horse trails, the park also offers hiking trails and bike trails of various lengths.
